BREAKING NEWS: DAC Adopts the Evaluation Criteria
We are very pleased to inform you that the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) adopted the Evaluation Criteria at a meeting held on 10 December 2019. There was overwhelming support by all the DAC Delegates and everyone praised the good work and effort that was conducted by the network. Connecting Evaluation and Performance Measurement
Performance Measurement depends on an understanding of program evaluation principles and practices. Both program evaluation and performance measurement contribute information that informs performance management decisions. The question that remains unanswered is how performance measurement approaches can be used as complementary to program evaluation and not a replacement of evaluation.

Evaluation should be more than numbers, it should tell a meaningful story. It should provide some information about impact and unintended impact but is primarily about clarifying the values held by different stakeholders.The Most Significant Change (MSC) approach involves deciding the types of stories that should be collected and communicated.
